DataControlComboInsertString Function

Overview

The DataControlComboInsertString function inserts a string at a specified point within the combobox list.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

int = DataControlComboInsertString ( int id, int row, int column,
                                 string item, [int index] );

Parameters

id

An int containing the control ID of the data control.

row

A zero-based int specifying the row.

column

A zero-based int specifying the column.

item

A string specifying the item to insert.

index

An optional int specifying a zero-based index to insert before. The default value is zero.

Return Value

Returns an int as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code on failure. Common error codes are as follows: ERROR_EOD if index specifies a position out of range, ERROR_RANGE if id is an invalid control ID for the open dialog, or ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE if no dialog is open. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.

Remarks

The DataControlComboAddString appends to the list while the DataControlComboInsertString function inserts prior to the specified index.
