Version 5.18b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains a number of new features, including a new tool to edit labels globally in XBRL and XDX, a new function for validating XDX documents as XBRL, and a new extension manage to install and manage extensions/plug-ins for the GoFiler software. Additionally, improvements and corrections were made to numerous EDGAR XML forms for proofing and editing as well as to inline XBRL validation and XDX processing.

New Release (5.18b) for the GoFiler Family of Products
Please use the Check for Updates function to update your software to the latest version.
GoFiler Complete 5.18b
General Items
– Changed the processing of CSV files on open. They are now directly opened as a Data Sheet in Data View.
– Added direct open of XTL (XDX Transaction Log) files.
– Added a new Extension Manager to install and manage Legato scripts that provide extra functionality to the software.
General EDGAR Updates
– Corrected an issue that was preventing the Underwriter CIK from being saved in the resulting XML for Form ABS-15G.
– Corrected a problem when using the Lookup Series/Classes or Retrieve Series/Classes functions on the Existing Series/Classes page when the investment company type is N-4 or N-6 and the current list already contained data.

XBRL View
– A new control sheet has been added to XFR View to override labels for elements within the report. As a result of this feature, all XFR files will be automatically upgraded to version 1.4. This version change is not backwards compatible.
– The 2023 US-GAAP taxonomy was missing from the list of available taxonomies. This has been corrected.
– All 2023 taxonomies are no longer marked as “Not currently accepted by the SEC.”
– Corrected an issue that prevented the application from writing labels for member elements used as a value inside an Extensible Enumerated List.
XDX
– Added new dialog to add label override information for XDX documents.
– Corrected an issue with the 2023 CEF and GAAP namespaces.
– Corrected a purely visual issue where newly added items would display the incorrect values on the lower part of the Edit Extensions dialog.
– The application will now check if there is more than one embedded extensions engram in the file.
– Added Validate XDX as XBRL function.
iXBRL
– Corrected an intermittent problem with the display of the "xStringPool::get_string_pointer" message.
– Made a number of corrections and improvements to the validation of transformations and data types.
– Added a number of new transformation checks to the validation tools.
