On March 27th, the FERC announced that the eForms system was updated with Version 2025-04-01 taxonomies, validation rules, and rendering files. The Taxonomy Package also has been made accessible in the eForms portal under Taxonomy History.
The following FERC Form filings that are due after March 28, 2025 must be filed using the Version 2025-04-01 taxonomies, validation rules, and rendering files:
- 2024 calendar year FERC Form No. 714
- 2025 quarterly FERC Form Nos. 3-Q (electric and gas) and 6-Q
- 2025 calendar year FERC Form Nos. 1, 1-F, 2, 2-A and 6
Significant updates in Version 2025-04-01:
- Incorporated Order No. 898 changes to the taxonomies, validations and rendering code
- Adopted the XBRL Inline Renderer (XENDR) to replace the FERC Renderer for faster and enhanced file rendering with updated taxonomies
- Updated Xule to v1.2 Validation to enable enhanced validations and quicker validation process
- Updated Arelle to v2.35.18 to ensure FERC eForms XBRL backend is updated with latest features and performance optimizations
- Required issuers to use the revised version when filing the 2024 calendar year FERC Form No. 60
