New Release (5.12c) for the GoFiler Family of Products

Version 5.12c of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains corrections and improvements to Form 24F View, Form N-CEN View, XDX and iXBRL. This release also contains some improvements for the 13F CUSIP tools.

Please use the Check for Updates function to update your software to the latest version.

GoFiler Complete 5.12b

General Items

– Changed the select color to a lighter blue to make it easier to see the text on the selected line of data.

General EDGAR Updates

– EDGAR Technical Change: On or about April 4, 2022, EDGAR will release an update that will impact how some third-party software communicate with the EDGAR website. GoFiler 5.12c has been tested against the new EDGAR beta website and works as expected.

N-PORT Updates

– Corrected a limitation on the size of the values in Part E.

N-CEN Updates

– Corrected an issue that would prevent Item C.20 from proofing all sub entries.

– Corrected an issue that prevented some files from opening if Part C contained no advisors but contained sub-advisors.

Form 13F Updates

– Updated the default location of the Securities PDF to the new location at the SEC’s website

– When running validation functions, GoFiler should now correctly update the CUSIP list to the most current version of the SEC’s CUSIP list automatically without requiring user intervention.

Form 24F-2

– The amount of entries that can be added into each list has been limited to the amount stated in the 24F specification.

– Users will now receive a validation warning if the Fees and Offerings page contains data. The data on this page is not available on EDGARLink Online but is included in the technical specification for 24F.

Text View/ASCII

– Corrected an intermittent problem with switching between the Information View log and the Text View where the caret gets lost.

XBRL View

– The domain portion of the namespace no longer allows the following characters: , ~ : ! @ # $ % ^ & ' ( ) { } _ and space.

– Corrected issue where the Previewer would lock up and fail to generate a report if the path to Arelle was not correctly set in the Previewer Options.

XDX

– The domain portion of the Namespace tab no longer allows the following characters: , ~ : ! @ # $ % ^ & ' ( ) { } _ and space.

– Corrected an issue that could cause instability if a error message contains special characters.

iXBRL

– Added logic to check for the AuditorFirmId, AuditorName and AuditorLocation elements for the forms as specified in the EFM.

– Added logic to check the AuditorFirmId against the PCAOB list.
