GoFiler 6.0c Now Available

Version 6.0c of GoFiler has been released. This release contains updates to some EDGAR Next functionality, as well as improvements and corrections to multiple EDGAR forms. In addition, users can now create custom XBRL templates combining known taxonomies. This update also contains multiple improvements to the Novaworks Fee Exhibit Editor (FEE). GoFiler 6.0b Now Available

Version 6.0b of GoFiler has been released. This release contains adjustments to certain EDGAR Next functions now that EDGAR Next is live, as well as adjustments to NSS to use EDGAR Next when the transition option is checked within GoFiler. New Release (5.25b) for the GoFiler Family of Products

Version 5.25b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This is a transition release to aid users in moving to GoFiler 6.0, which will be available in the coming weeks. In addition to all the many import, editing, proofing, validation, and filing features that are part of GoFiler, GoFiler 6.0 will be introducing some great improvements including: transitioning to a 64-bit platform (which will increase performance when handling large datasets), support for EDGAR Next, and enhanced customization through modules. How to File Form N-PX

Managers and funds are now required to file Form N-PX in a structured data format called XML. This new format is machine-readable, which improves the ability of the public to analyze and consume the data being provided on the form. While the format will improve the quality of the data and the ability of consumers to access and use that information, it can be a challenge to prepare a filing that has been traditionally provided in HTML or text using a new data standard. What You Need to Know About the FDTA

On December 22, 2022, President Biden signed the Financial Data Transparency Act of 2022 (FDTA) into law as part of the National Defense Authorization Act. The FDTA requires the US Treasury Department and seven federal financial regulators to make the financial data provided by local governments more accessible, uniform, and useful to the public. Issue Filing Large XBRL Reports to the EDGAR System

Some time over the weekend of January 27th, EDGAR XBRL filers began experiencing an issue when submitting large XBRL filings to the EDGAR system. This issue concerns a change that was made in Arelle. Specifically, when an XBRL report is run through Arelle with too many possible dimensional combinations on a single report, Arelle now produces an error and the EDGAR System rejects the filing.
