XMLParseGetElement Function

Overview

The XMLParseGetElement function returns the element (namespace and concept, qname) if one exists within the parse buffer.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

string = XMLParseGetElement ( handle hXPO );

Parameters

hXPO

A handle specifying an XML Parse Object.

Return Value

Returns a string containing the element for the last parsed item or an empty string on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information. The GetLastErrorMessage can contain information on ERROR_CONTEXT.

Remarks

XMLParseGetElement returns the element qname for the last item parsed, if any. If the raw parameter is set to TRUE on the XMLParseGetItem function, this function will return an error.

XMLParseIsSelfContained — Returns a boolean value as to whether the tag is self-contained.

XMLParseIsTag — Returns a boolean as to whether item parser was a tag.
